Thong Romanea Director
Romanea survived the Pol Pot years as a child, and became a Christian in 1994. That year he began working for AOC as Children’s Coordinator andlater managed the mobile medical clinics. He then spent 4 valuable yearswith Tearfund. In 2004 he was appointed Coordinator for EFC Children’s Commission, mobilizing churches and NGO’s to be more involved with Children at Risk. In April 2006 he returned to AOC as National Director. He is married to Naroth and has two sons.

Pao Bunthoeun Office Manager |
Bunthoeun is the AOC office manager. He has been with AOC for 8 years, and until 2005 worked as Logistic Officer for our Mobile Medical Clinics. Bumthoeun has experience in security, reception, administration and in his current position he is responsible to liaise with Cambodian government ministries. To assist with this he is studying government law at night school. Bunthoeun is married and has 3 children. |
Chhit Theara Finance Manager |
Theara has been with AOC for three years, first as Cashier and in 2009 as Finance Officer. Theara completed her degree in Business Administration in 2006, during the years of her study she gained valuable experience working in a family business. Ly Dawn Finance Assistant |
Dawn joined AOC finance team as the organisation's Cashier in April 2010. Dawn experienced an amazing miracle when she was growing up, and is very commited to serving God and those around her. Prior to joining AOC, Dawn gained valuable work experience as a receptionist, cashier and church secretary. Dawn is married and has one son. |
Sopheak Phearun Night Guard |
Phearun started working for AOC in March 2011 as the organisation's night guard. He is from Lvea Em district, and is the son of one of AOC's beneficiaries. He is currently taking English and computer classes, and will begin classes at the Agriculture University in Phnom Penh in October 2011. |

Grahame Dyer Church & Community Development Coordinator |
Grahame is the Coordinator for AOC’s Church Development and Water and Sanitation projects. In 2004 he and his wife Katy spent 2 years as AOC’s Teams Coordinator/s, they then took one year out for intensive language study before Grahame took up his current position. Grahame has a diploma in horticulture and missions. He is a very practical person with very good interpersonal skill and a passion to serve and support Cambodians to reach their God given potential. Grahame is currently studying for a degree in Community Development Management. |
Ea Bunsao Community Development & Project Manager |
Bunsao is AOC’s Water and Sanitation Project Manager. He has been with AOC since 2006 and has worked as HIV/AIDS Trainer prior to taking up his current position. Bunsao has completed studies in General Management and has attended three years of Bible School. Bunsao works closely with local commune and village leaders, school principals and has a passion to help meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of fellow Cambodians. |
Piseth has four years work experience in the social development sector in Cambodia. He has been providing day-to-day management and leadership to WORD's programme staff since 2007. In addition, he served as a coordinator to local NGOs through the German Development Service, an English translator for Military Christian Fellowship (MCF), and an English interpreter for Cambodia Bible Baptist College (CBBC). Piseth holds a bachelor of Economics Science Development. He likes to spend his free time reading the Bible, listening to audio books, meditating, reading and visualizing his life goals. AOC is a place where he can align his mission to work toward positively changing the lives of people in the Lvea Em community. |

Chea Youkunthea Church Development |
Kunthea began working at AOC in 2002 as the organisation's cleaner. She has also assisted in hospital support for AOC beneficiaries,and in 2010 joined AOC’s Church and Community Development team. From 1981 until 1993, Kunthea worked as a military soldier and has experienced much suffering and injustice. Kunthea ia a compassionate woman and a heart to share the good news of the gospel with all those around her. She is married and has 4 children. |
Huot Kosal Assisting Children to School (ACTS) Project Manager |
Kasol joined the AOC team in February 2009 as an HIV/AIDS Facilitator and Trainer, and is now in charge of the Assisting Children to School program under Community Development. Kasol has a Bachelor degree of Business Management and has gained valuable experience as HIV/AIDS social worker. Kasol wants to become a skilled professional in project management and use his skills to help the rural poor. Kosal is married and has two children. |

Ouk Thida HIV/AIDS-TB Project Manager |
Thida began working for AOC in February 2009 as a social worker for the Homecare/HIV-TB program, and was recently promoted to the position of HIV/AIDS Project Manager, supervising and helping to implement all of Homecare's project activites. She has a degree in psychology and experience at a local clinic in Phnom Penh. |
Phin Naroth HIV/AIDS-TB Internal Support |
Naroth has a background in finance and accounting, with six years experience at an English speaking school, in day care centres and with the AOC accounting department. She had six months experience as a staff member for the Income Generation project for PLWHA's, followed by 18 months as support staff for the HIV/AIDS Homecare program. She was promoted to Homecare Project Manager in 2008, and has recently stepped down to start her own social enterprise, helping Cambodian children under five have the best start to their lives. However, she will be staying with AOC part-time for the next few months, supporting and coaching Thida during her transition from Social Worker to Project Manager. |
Duorng Veasna HIV/AIDS Homecare Nurse |
Veasna is HIV/AIDS Homecare nurse. He began working with AOC in 2003, prior to this he worked at a local Health Centre in Lvea Em. Veasna is responsible to visit AOC's Homecare patients in their homes or Health Centre and provides them medical care and support. He shows great care and compassion for all patients and their families and is well respected in the community. |
Soeurn Navy TB Officer |
Navy worked part time for AOC for 2 years and was responsible for after hours office security. Navy comes from Lvea Em district and this job enabled him to live in Phnom Penh and support his English studies. He completed his studies in June of 2010 and is now working with the HIV/AIDS-TB homecare team as the TB Officer. He is now responsible for supervising the TB C-DOTS program, working alongside nine TB health centre staff, as well as assisting Keo Phalla with income generation activities. |

From Lvea Em district, Phalla joined AOC in 2009 to assist Homecare patients with income generation activities. Still living in Lvea Em, Phalla showed great aptitude for teaching and caring for those in her community with HIV/AIDS. Since 2009 she has received further training and continues to show great care and compassion in her position. |
Chhorn Soksophea Community HIV/AIDS Education Facillitator |
Sophea joined AOC in 2002 as an assistant to the Medical Support Services Project. She previously worked under the Health Education project as the HIV/AIDS training facilitator and now works alongside with the Homecare nurse as a social worker in the HIV/AIDS-TB program. She has years of experience in teaching health education to children at health centres, in various communities. Along with being a wonderful mother to her daughter, Sophea has a passion to help poor and vulnerable children. |
Miles Siobhan HIV/AIDS TB Advisor |
Siobhan joined AOC as the HIV/AIDS-TB Project Advisor in March 2010. She has extensive experience in HIV/AIDS the UK and is very familiar with the Cambodian context having lived here for a number of years. Siobhan resides in Phnom Penh with her husband Glen and three children. |

Tim Reaksmey (La) Water and Sanitation Field Worker |
La is AOC’s Water and Sanitation Field Worker. He began working AOC partt time in 2006, ano now works for the organisation fulltime. La lives in Lvea Em, and therefore has an excellent understanding of the people and environment. La is showing increasing ability in teaching construction methods and water and sanitation management. |
Sok Sothea Water and Sanitation Construction Manager |
Sothea is AOC’s Water and Sanitation Field Manager. He has worked for AOC on and off for 4 years and has a wealth of experience in the construction and water and sanitation management. Sothea is a valuable asset to the team with excellent communication skills and an innate ability to inspire community members to work together and take responsibility for their families and community needs. |
Neang Channeth Water and Sanitation Trainer |
Ms Nean Chennath joined AOC in June 2010 as Water & Sanitation Monitor and Trainer. She has recently completed her degree in agriculture and brings many other life experiences and skills with her. Channeth is a committed Christian with a passion for teaching, she loves children and interacting with community members at all levels. She is proving to be a capable and valuable asset to AOC and the communities she serves. |
Dara is one of two water and sanitisation trainers based in Stung Treng, and has worked for AOC since May 2011. Dara lives in Phumthmey Village, Stung Treng Commune, Stung Treng District. Dara is a very patient and humble person and is showing an increased ability in facilitating with the community, enabling them to understand reasons and methods of proper hygiene. |
Thearith is the other water and sanitation trainer based in Stung Treng, and also began working at AOC in May 2011. He went to high school in Stung Treng, and has the capacity to communicate well with the community he comes from. He is a compassionate person and also has a heart to share the good news of the gospel with others. He married Mou Thida in January 2011. |
