Update on the River Ambulance
The River Ambulance has been completed and waiting in Singapore since July 2004 to be shipped into Cambodia and put into action.
There have been more bureaucratic hold ups and "red tape", to import this River Ambulance , than anyone could have ever anticipated.We have the finance we need to ship it to Phnom Penh and a shipping company just waiting for the "Go ahead from us".
There have been some clear “suggestions” that significant financial “donations” or “performance bonuses” could see this dead lock broken. But as a Christian organization we will not participate in this corruption.
This has been a source of frustration to the donors, the boat builder, to Asian Outreach, and is costing the lives of Cambodian villagers, who are dying because we cannot get them to a city hospital fast enough with our present facilities.
