The Boat of Hope, that has served the Lvea Em district for many years, has now been decommissioned with the arrival of the new River Ambulance. This will enable us to evacuate emergency medical patients much more quickly to a city hospital in Phnom Penh. Evacuations that formerly took 3 to 4 hours will now be completed in less than an hour. AOC staff continue ministry in the Lvea Em District, however because the medical clinics have now been handed over to the Ministry of Health, AOC is focusing more on community development, health education, HIV/AIDS and Christian ministries.
